Five Steps in the Insurance Claim Process
1- Get A Free Roof Inspection From G Hatley Roofing And Construction
Because most homeowners don’t know all calls to the insurance company resulting in a claim, whether it’s determined that repairs are needed or not, they traditionally call their insurance company first. This should be the first step! Your roof may not be damaged and making that call first may result in an unnecessary claim. CALL US FIRST. We will complete a free, no obligation roof inspection! If damages exist, we will provide a detailed inspection report that will be reviewed by your insurance company to support your claim.
2- If Their Is Damage, Make The Claim
When your inspection report is available, you can file your claim on your homeowner’s policy. Your insurance company will ask you if your roof has been inspected and if you have decided on a contractor. Please remember; you can work with any roofing company you wish. That choice is yours, not theirs.
3- Have Your Insurance Adjuster, And Your Roofer Inspect The Roof Together
When the Insurance Adjuster and one of G Hatley Roofing & Construction Project Managers inspect the roof together, the insurance company is more likely to be on the same page regarding the required repairs.
4- Schedule your roof replacement with G Hatley Roofing & Construction.
Once we’re this far along, our homeowners are assigned a Project Manager who is the customer’s point of contact for the duration of the roof replacement. Typical replacements take 1 day from start to finish, weather permitting. The homeowner is not required to be home during the installation.
5- Your Deductible Should Be Your Only Out-of-pocket Expense
Your insurance company will cut you a check, and once the roof is completed, you will write a check to the roofing company.
